Introduction to Rune Stones

Runes are small stones that have symbols inscribed on them. They are usually either turned over in a specific way or thrown and then read in a manner similar to tarot cards; an interpretation of the symbols shown. The word ‘rune’ actually means ‘something secret’ or ‘secret talk’ so it is no wonder that rune stones are still used today for divinatory purposes. They can be used just like tarot cards to focus psychic ability and provide inspiration for divination and similar skills. The runic alphabet itself dates back more than a thousand years to early Germanic languages, though these were later strongly influenced by Latin, they were again heavily used by Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Camden Unlock Event

Today the psychic TV team braved the torrential English rain in Camden Market to bring psychic TV to you.
Both Faith and Aldo were present and gave several fifteen minute face to face readings throughout the day. Some people who were current viewers had turned up specifically for a reading from a favourite psychic other visitors were keen on having some complicated issues resolved, or simply being reassured as to what their future might bring.
I got the lucky chance to ask Faith and Aldo a few questions personally.
I asked the psychics when they started working for psychic TV, Aldo in October last year and faith seven months earlier in March of 2010.
My next question was why they decided to use their ability’s on screen. Aldo explained to me that he had just moved to the area and he discovered that psychic TV had a good reputation amongst many of the people he knew.
Faith came across Psychic TV because she was giving a reading and she soon realised the person she was reading from was, in some way famous. He later gave her the number for psychic TV and although she felt unsure as to her chances of getting the job she later found out she had in fact been hired!
My final question was if the psychic’s thought bringing Psychic TV to Camden Market was a good idea, both Aldo and Faith were in total agreement that it is a fantastic idea.
Faith discussed with me her emotional ties with Camden Market because it was where she started working for herself, giving readings to passers by. Aldo commented of the way it will hopefully bring new, younger and diverse groups of people onto the psychic scene.
I had a fantastic time spending the day with the psychic team and getting to look at many other interesting psychic, mind, body, and spirit stands with so many new and fascinating people to meet.

Runic Divination

The Runic system is perhaps one of the most historically interesting areas of
psychic divination. The modern runic set is formed of 25 runes and is used by
psychic mediums not only for divinations but also for the creation of psychic
charms.

The runic system itself is the legacy of the early Germanic writing system,
dating all the way back to around 150AD. The runes in this writing system are
believed to be linked to the legend of the Norse God Odin and the epic poem
Hávamál. The legend tells the tale of Odin being hung from the world tree
Yggdrasil, with his own spear, in a sacrifice to the gods. He hung there for a
period of nine days and nine nights, in order to learn about the nine worlds
and to gain the wisdom needed to master them, and during this period he
was gifted the knowledge of the sacred runes. This Germanic writing system
eventually faded out of use, replaced by the more modern Latin alphabet in
around 700AD.

The runes did however survive, with historical evidence showing them in
use by the Romans. They we’re initially being used for magical purposes,
protective charms on rings and amulets and curses scrawled on walls, even
they word rune itself has mystical meaning, as it translates as ‘something
hidden’ or ‘secret’. This use of runes as a magical focus continues to this day.

The modern day runic system only really entered general use in the 1980’s,
this renaissance was triggered by a number of cards, books and runic
sets being used for, and writing about the use of runes for divination as an
alternative to the classical Tarot reader. These rune sets we’re based on the
original 18 runes from the legend of Odin area a popular choice for those just
starting to develop their divinatory powers, as they are one of those things
in life that’s easy to learn but hard to master. The actually divination process
involves the runes being mixed up in a bag and either drawn out one at a time
or cast as a group on a flat surface so that a reading can be taken.

As with most divination methods though the skill is in the interpreting which
can take years to master fully, everything from the orientation of the runes to
the groupings and orders can effect the outcome and for an accurate reading
its worth going to a practiced psychic.
